Yolanda Rachele Rastelli, born in Vogogna, Italy, in the 1930s, emigrated to the USA in 1959 following the wave of the “American Dream” of that time, without ever forgetting her Italian origins and her whole family. In this book she tells us about her life, from her tormented childhood in World War II to her marriage to Kurt and their trip to America, describing in detail the difficulties and happy moments she spent in Houston, Texas, up to the present day, concluding with a special reflection on her future.

Yolanda Rachele Rastelli, nata a Vogogna negli anni ‘30, emigrò in America nel 1959 seguendo l’onda del “Sogno Americano” di quel tempo, ma non scordò mai le sue origini italiane e tutta la sua famiglia. In questo libro ci racconta la sua vita, dall’infanzia tormentata dalla Guerra fino al matrimonio con Kurt ed al loro viaggio in America, descrivendo minuziosamente le difficoltà ed i momenti felici trascorsi a Houston, Texas, fino ai giorni nostri, concludendo con una particolare riflessione sul suo futuro.
